e-commerce microservices platform
a personal .net project exploring clean architecture, ddd and service communication through order, stock and payment flows.
explore source codearchitecture and implementation details
- designed a distributed architecture consisting of 11 independent microservices: gateway, order, inventory, payment, fulfillment, iam, catalog, customer, search, notification and promotion using clean architecture & ddd.
- applied choreography saga and transactional outbox patterns for asynchronous event-driven inter-service communication via rabbitmq and masstransit.
- integrated synchronous grpc protocol for high-performance internal service communication.
- managed external client traffic via yarp api gateway; applied native aot compilation strategy for low latency and optimized resource usage at gateway level.
- implemented cqrs pattern to separate read and write responsibilities; established valkey distributed caching infrastructure to boost data access performance.
- configured end-to-end distributed tracing, centralized logging, slo-based alerting and centralized auditing with opentelemetry, prometheus and grafana.
- established consumer-driven contract (cdc) testing with pactnet to maintain microservice contract integrity and created independent github actions ci/cd pipelines for each service.
